Youth Choir

 

Cantabile Youth Choir

Cantabile Youth Choir is a young vibrant choir of both boys and girls. The age range is 9-21 years, although 8 year olds are allowed to train with the choir, but not perform. It is in its eigth year. The choir affords a high level of musical training to all members, both within choir rehearsals and group tuition sessions or private lessons. The choir demands a high level of commitment, due to its heavy rehearsal and performance schedule. Performance opportunities include competitions both nationally and internationally, concerts, recordings and private bookings.

  • 2008 – Cantabile Youth Choir were placed 6th best ‘Senior Children’s Choir at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod Musical Festival.
  • 2009 – they took the Worcester Arts Council Award for ‘High Achievement’.
  • 2009 – placed 3rd at the North Wales Choral Competition.

Cantabile Girls Choir 2011

Cantabile Senior Girls- Winners Chamber Choir Class Jersey International Choir Festival October 2008

Cantabile Girls Choir is in its fifth year and comprises 22 members at present, within the age category of 11-21 years, The choir is successful in its own right:

  • 2008 -Won Chamber Choir Class – Jersey International Choral Festival.
  • 2011- Won with Honours – Worcester Music Festival.

Junior Choir

 

Cantabile Junior Choir

Pavilion Stage – Eisteddfod – Llangollen July 2011 – 5th in the World Final of the Junior Choir Class

The Junior choir is in its third year and has quickly become very successful. Although small in number – 16 members at present- they produce a very mature sound. The Junior Choir comprises both boys and girls, between the ages of 9-13 years. Achievements include:

  • 2011 – 1st place with Honours – Worcester Music Festival.
  • 2011- placed 5th in the World at Llangollen International Eisteddfod Musical Festival.
